Hello! I reside in New Smyrna Beach and love my little beach town! I spend my down time kayaking, cycling and hiking! I have 22 years of experience in caring for Alzheimer & dementia patients (I have care experience with RA, Parkinson's, cancer, stroke and other health issues as well) and their families. I perform all tasks associated with maintaining memory care safety, dignity and med management. I have extensive palliative care experience (I have worked with both Vitas & Hospice of the Comforter) with bed bound patients, wound care, transfers, bathing & toileting. I work with the family, doctors and therapists to follow the plan of care prescribed as well as contribute my own expertise as a collaborator of care. I strive to stay up to date with new ideas, meds and treatments for various issues impacting geriatric patients. I believe safety, comfort & dignity are of utmost importance in good care. Carrielynn took care of my mom helping her recover post hip replacement surgery, newly diagnosed heart arrthymia, and some surgical site infection. Carrie also is the only one that my mom would trust and with this trust, Carrie was able to guide both my mom and our family to reach my mom’s goal of full recovery back to her baseline. We definitely would not have been able to achieve this goal without Carrie- she was my mom’s companion, caregiver, friend, physical therapist, adviser on family dynamics, and basically the person who makes my mom smile and talk all day long. We are very grateful to Carrie and words probably do not describe the extent.
