About Caley

In high school I volunteered at an assisted living facility and then became a part-time employee. In the residence there were individuals that lived independently and also Alzheimer patients that required more attention. When volunteering I provided companion services and visited multiple residents on a daily basis. I also worked alongside the activities director and coordinated events for the residents. Although I preferred working as a companion, with my prior experience as a waitress I also worked in the restaurant. I also volunteered at The ARC of Opportunity, working specifically with the elderly. This program supported individuals with ranging functioning levels and helped them maintain routine in their daily lives and become valuable members of the workforce. My grandmother had numerous health issues and after spending a great amount of time with her my care taking skills processed even further. While I do not have prior experience as a live-in caregiver I am a quick learner.
