About Brian K

Hello, my name is Brian. Recently I spent more than two years caring for my senior father-in-law during the last years of his life. It was a blessing and rewarding experience but also a challenge for me and my family. I was my father-in-law's companion and caretaker. I played games with him, discussed history and politics, prepared meals, did laundry, bathed, went for walks, and even managed his in-home kidney dialysis. Currently, I'm a candidate to be a licensed Special Education and Elementary Education Teacher. My strong compassion for others and exceptional patience motivate my desire to teach. These, plus my experience with my father-in-law, inspire me to want to help other families facing the adversity and blessings of helping a senior member of their family.
