About Brenda

My name is Brenda. I am a Certified Medical Assistant (CNA in Florida). I am a CPR/First Aid certified. Before returning back to school, I had raised my own 2 children, taken care of our house and home. My eldest daughter was born with Rett Syndrome, a degenerative neuromuscular disease. My new career choice was because of my own personal experience with all the helpers, nurses, and aides along with family, but most of all my daughter. She was the main reason I wanted to go back to school and give back to others as I had been helped in the past. I chose a career as a medical assistant/companion. During my externship for school, I trained in an orthopedic office. I really enjoyed working with the elderly. I transported in wheelchairs, helped fill out paperwork for them, and I took the information as they came into the exam rooms. I had to help them dress, undress, and get them to and from x-rays and other departments with in the office. I have been helping with my own mother and mother-in-law who have needs that require a caregiver on and off. My husband and I have recently relocated to Sebastian due to his work. So I would like to do something to give back to the community of our new home. I believe that with my schooling and my own personal experience that I may be of help to you.
