I believe that there is so much to learn from our elders and getting to know them is like opening a new book, full of stories to share and jokes to tell. I have a very special place in my heart for those needing more assistance with age. At the end of the day, they were once fresh faced teens themselves ready to take on the world! I obtained my CNA license at the age of 16 and worked as a dietary aid in a residential facility for around a year. I understand the vulnerability that comes with allowing someone into your home to care for you or a loved one, and will approach every day with kindness, respect, dignity and trust.
