About Autumn

I took care of my grandmother from the age of 11 until she passed when I was 21. I would gently wake her up, change her diaper, dress her in a nice outfit, comb her hair, and bring her to the kitchen. I would make her breakfast, administer medicine, and make her coffee with a little cream and 2 sugars. Anything else- you did it wrong. We would watch game shows, do puzzles, and visit art museums together. At night, I would give her a bath, place her in comfy pajamas, make dinner, administer her medicine and her breathing treatment. We would watch television until she wanted to be taken to bed. I miss her dearly, and taking care of others is how I now honor her. I also have experience working at a rehabilitation center and volunteering.
