I love spending time with seniors! All through my childhood I was close with my grandparents, especially my grandmother. As my grandmother got older, she moved in with my family. Being in my 20s at the time, I assisted with her care (meal preparation, bathroom, medications, assisted walking, assisted standing/sitting). My passion in helping seniors is rooted in that time with my grandparents and being there as a companion and support as my grandmother got older. I believe there is so much wisdom to be learned from older generations, their wit keeps you on your toes, and, it is so special to have two people 50+ years apart, connect, bond, and laugh together.
