Abbey was the best personal caregiver that I could have hired for my mother Pat in her mid to late stages of Alzheimer's period. She was always on time, provided excellent care, and most importantly increased her quality of life daily. Even towards the end when my mother's cognitive and physical capabilities were severely declining, Abbey took my mom for car rides to her favorite places, put her music on, reviewed photo albums with my mom and most importantly was always talking to my mom in a conversational and respective manner. Abbey did the laundry, dishes, cooked wonderful meals, and towards the last few months was thickening her fluids, feeding my mother. Abbey did all of the personal care for my mother as well: she showered her daily, dressed and undressed my mother, did mouth care, brought her to MD and dental appts, etc. She has excellent critical thinking skills. Abbey was a very positive influence on my mother and my family's life.
