About Xiomara

I see children as the future leaders of this country, interacting with them makes me happy and joyful for what I can do for them. I want to feel part of the family not only a worker, so I can care for the family like I would care for mine. I want to be a preschool teacher, but due to economic reasons, I couldn't finish. I have 8 years of experience in baby-sitting. I help at church in youth leadership, camp counselor and child care area. In my 8 years of experience, I have learned different strategies to interact with behavioral issues children and children with disabilities. God has blessed me with his patience, love and wisdom to care for children. Having one of my own, I know how hard can it be to raise a new life. I love to paint, color, do crafts, play hide and seek, go to the park, swim, play doh, help with homework, read, and draw. Everyday is a new challenge for me and for them, as I try to teach them the basics skills as recognition of the colors, the alphabet and Spanish as a new language. Even though I'm not a child, I feel like one because you have to feel like one in order to play with them. From high school throughout college, I baby-sat on weekdays. I have six units of child development, CPR and First Aid certification, letter of recommendations and five years of experience teaching Sunday school for the ages 2 to 5 years. I'm responsible, trustworthy, reliable, clean, lovable, a good listener, and very dedicated to my work, in the 8 years, I only missed work three times. I don't mind getting down on the floor and get duty to play. I am willing to travel if that is necessary!
