About Tessa

Hi! My name is Tessa and I am planning ahead for the '24 - '25 school year! My little ones will be transitioning to daycare, so I'm looking for a new full-time contract. I have always loved kids and with my 7 years of experience, I have looked after them in many capacities. I have cared for infants (3 -13 months), siblings, and elementary school children. I have worked as a full-time nanny, babysitter, behavioral interventionist, teaching assistant, and camp counselor. As a caregiver, I believe in fostering a secure attachment style, Montessori learning, and creating a nurturing environment to explore independence and identity. I love going on adventures and introducing different experiences such as edible gardens, parks with water play, and petting zoos. I also love following routines and am very comfortable handling different schedules and those that adapt. I am no stranger to keeping data due to my work caring for a child of scientists and my background in therapy.
