About Sophie

I have worked with 2 families before. One family had 2 kids, ages 7 and 9. The other family I worked for had one 5-year-old. While working for these families my work included, driving the kids to or from school, making small meals at home, driving the kids to their events, tidying around the house, and helping with their homework. Finished 2 years of service with City Year through Americorps. Most of my service year was spent in the afterschool space facilitating lessons and hosting events for our students. Our program ran from afterschool to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday. Our schedule was as follows, first is homework hour where students get support from each other and their ACM with whatever they need. Then we'd move in to supper which I would serve to students, and right after that is recess. Our program ends with lessons that I as the ACM would plan and facilitate for the students. These were in a wide range of topics like, STEAM, Reading, History, theatre, social justice and more!
