About Shannon

I have experience working with children ranging from ages three to 18, in groups up to 30 at one time. I started babysitting my younger siblings, then moved on to nannying for four children ranging in ages six to 16. I became a site coordinator for Boys and Girls Club, where I ran my own site and managed 30+ kids before and after school. In this job, I was able to create engaging and fun programs, while also working through homework. The ages ranged from age six to sixth grade, while volunteering in the teen center when our site was closed. I loved working with these children, so I became a Special Education Educational Assistant at the same school. There, I worked with a fourth grader with autism and got my certification in order to work with a variety of special needs kids.
