About Roxana

Roxana is currently working for us in a nanny share arrangement (2013). She takes care of my daughter and my friend's daughter. We are so happy that we found her. We interviewed quite a few nannies before we found her, and she was heads and shoulders above the others. She is such a genuine person. She started with us in Jan. 2013 when the girls were 3 and 5 months old. My friend and I had to go back to work after our maternity leaves. She helped us establish sleep schedules for the girls (and life got immensely better!). Roxana is knowledgeable about child development so she knew how to encourage our kids to reach their milestones. From tummy time, to sitting up, crawling and now walking, Roxana seems to have an innate way of connecting with the girls and guiding them. Roxana is very meticulous in how she approaches things - from preparing the children's food to hygiene. The girls have never gotten sick or injured as a result of her watchfulness. We created daily log books that Roxana fills out for each girl, and at the end of the day we always hear a report of whether someone had a good day, or not-so-good day. She will remind us that one of the girls didn't eat much today, or the other one had two good poops so as parents we know what to look out for in the evenings. Likewise, Roxana will start each day asking if my daughter had a good night's sleep, when she woke up, etc. We leave a camcorder with her during the day, and Roxana has been great about videotaping the girls when they are playing. In fact, Roxana has taken more video of my child than either my husband or I have! She will also text us with cute pictures of the girls during the day. I am truly sorry to end the nanny share arrangement, but my friend has moved out of the area and the commute over to our house every day is getting to be too much. As a first time parent, I couldn't have have asked for a better caregiver for my child when I had to return back to work.
