Hello, My name is Rachel. I am from Redlands California but have lived here in Hilo for 8 years now. I am a mom to a little boy and three dogs. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and currently work full time at YWCA developmental preschool. I have worked as a preschool teacher for 3 years and have been in the field for 8. I love children and want to continue working with them for a very long time. I am athletic, love sports, arts and crafts, playing games and music.

Rachel was the second babysitter we hired on Care.com in Maui, and we literally struck gold (the first was "fine but not fun" according to our kids). We have an easy going 12 year old daughter and a sometimes challenging (and very particular about babysitters) 5 year old son. Rachel quickly bonded with our daughter with her fabulous art skills and fun sense of humor. Our son (who refused every sitter we tried on our last vacation), quickly fell in love with Rachel so much so that she even babysat without his big sister present so we could take a surf lesson. Each time Rachel arrived, our son's face lit up and he started talking about dance parties and pillow fights. We definitely saw a lot more of Maui and enjoyed lots more couple time as a result of finding Rachel. Highly recommend. HIGHLY!
