About Monica

I have three grown children and home schooled my kids from grades K-8. I am well acquainted with the physical and emotional needs of young children. As a nanny, I would play with your children and read to them. I would encourage their oral language development by conversing with them, and help them to develop phonological awareness through fingerplays and rhyming games. I would also like to take them out to explore nature and get physical exercise, if you have an appropriate outdoor space available. Or, I could just take them out for short walks, weather permitting. I am happy to do light housekeeping and meal prep. I am a non-smoker and non-drinker. I have a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and am currently pursuing a Masters in Literacy degree. I hold a current Teaching Certificate in the state of Texas, and I am also pursuing my certification to become a Forest School teacher.
