I believe children are complete beings who do not need molding but rather encouragement to discover who they are and how to be in the world. We hired Michel-Jean for a nanny share in 1996, caring for our four-month-old daughter as well as another infant who was about three weeks older. Caring for two infants with different feeding habits and nap schedules was no joke, but Michel-Jean was a master of nurturing efficiency, even writing daily journal entries detailing nap times/duration, ounces in, dirty diapers, and general highlights. We employed Michel-Jean until shortly after "the girls" turned 3, when we enrolled them at local preschool for the extra socialization benefits. He was an integral part of their early lives, helping with transitions to solid food, first steps, moving from two naps a day to one, cooperating/sharing, potty training and more. He was consistent, kind. reliable, punctual, loving, communicative and so much more--and we never doubted for a second that our daughter was safe and in the very best of hands. Would recommend him without hesitation to any family.
