Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of Meredith. I had the extreme pleasure of being her swimming coach for six years at the YMCA. Beyond that I have also enjoyed watching Meredith giving back to our program as she has remained on as a coach (in both a paid and volunteer basis) on her breaks away from her studies at college and in the professional world. Without a single reservation I give my complete support of Meredith as she applies to work in your department. Meredith is proof positive what youth sports means in America today. She is a very determined and hard working woman. The YMCA stand by its mantra of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Meredith is a wonderful example of all three of these standards. She has taken all the tools that she learned at a young age and has applied them to everything she does now as an adult in the professional world. She finds the time to be healthy and active and takes on a "lead by example" attitude in her future in health services. Additionally, Meredith consistently gives back to the community. She still partakes in many of our YMCA activities even though she lives so far away. The fact that she still cares about her home town after all these years is truly a great feeling for me as her former coach. Meredith embodies the type of person that all people should want to work alongside. Do not miss the opportunity to bring this fine young lady into your lives.
