About Melanie

Hello Parents, I have loved children as far back as I can remember. I was the neighborhood sitter as a child and continued throughout my adult life. I am very dependable, punctual and love children. Children are a precious part of our community and deserve to be given respect, love and tenderness. I love engaging children in fun and entertaining age appropriate activities. With babies I engage in playtime to develop gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Quiet time on floor with baby for a couple minutes helps baby explore its surroundings. A walk is more than a stroller ride, its a huge opportunity to narrate sounds and sight. I work with toddlers on letters, numbers, colors, shapes, fine motor skills and coordination. Story time is more than reading a book but opportunity to ask the how, what, where, when and why. I build their confidence thru giving choices when appropriate. I enjoy taking children to the park and to age appropriate activities in our community.
