About Megan

I am a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, where I studied Linguistics and Sociology, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Psychology . Working with children has always been something that brings me tremendous personal satisfaction. I feel that it is essential for both children and adults to learn something new every day and I strive to transmit this passion for learning to the children I care for by utilizing opportunities for teaching in day-to-day activities. I have a passion for the outdoors, and a strong knowledge of environmental biology, geography, and astronomy. I find that children show a lot of excitement in learning about their world. California provides a great domain for outdoor activities such as swimming and hiking, and my background as a camp counselor and lifeguard helps me to integrate these activities into my childcare routine.
