About Mckenna

Hello, my name is McKenna! I graduated High School with an AAS and I'm on my way to receiving a bachelor's degree in elementary education. My passion for working with children and making a difference within my community has led me to make this career choice. I'm currently a tutor online and in-person to over a dozen students. I have been a nanny/babysitter for multiple families with children aging from 4 to 12. I love to cook and have job experience as a prep cook in a local family restaurant and at WWU's dining hall. I grew up with a brother and sister with special needs. My sister had epilepsy in her younger years resulting in a two-year delay, and my brother has Asperger's syndrome. I often helped my mother by making sure they were taken care of. These experiences have shown me how much joy I receive when caring for kids. Not only by helping them navigate life, but by being their support when they need it the most.
