About Maya

I possess a wealth of experience in caring for children across a diverse age range, from 1 to 17 years old. My approach is centered on ensuring each child's comfort and engagement, leveraging my creativity in devising fun and educational activities. I have a passion for exploring a child's interests and hobbies, reading books, and most importantly, building strong, positive relationships. My goal is to offer parents peace of mind, knowing their little ones are in the hands of a reliable and caring babysitter. I have a BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley and an MS in Education from Johns Hopkins. I'm pursuing a PsyD in Clinical Psychology at The Wright Institute. With 4 years as an elementary teacher for pre-K to 6th grade and extensive tutoring from kindergarten to 10th grade, I'm committed to enhancing students' social and academic skills and instilling a love for learning. I am CPR and first aid certified, am comfortable with pets, have my own car, am fluent in Spanish and can cook.
