She was a last minute hire for an overnight job that paid $250. Matelynne came off as rude, stuck up and not warm or friendly at all. I tried to look pass her poor social skills because of her experience but Matelynne was not very good at sending me updates unless I called her or my kids on the iPad. Also she was extremely judge mental about my 2yr old wearing diapers and claimed she would continue practicing his potty training while I was gone but every time I called, he had on a diaper. The biggest "Nope" for me was that Matelynn did not respect my house rules when I asked her to not cover the security/ nanny cams in the house. Not only did she let me know in a condescending tone that her poor choice to ignore me was my fault because her other nanny jobs had a private room for her and I did not. Matelynne also made it clear she would continue to cover my cameras because she didn't like having it "in her face". So if anything happens with my children, the camera that was there for their safety and liability reasons would be useless. I've never had a baby sitter mess with the cameras because they were professional and understood everything is in place for the kids safety and so I could feel at ease leaving my babies with a stranger. The entire time the kids were on their iPads with no active engagement. I had the worst anxiety hoping and praying nothing went wrong with my babies. Thankfully the kids were okay when I got back home. Also, I'm thankful she took care of my children to her best abilities but because there was no trust or reassurance, I would not hire again.
