Was looking forward to meeting Mary Jane in person because she had tons of experience. My only hesitation was that she said she was looking to leave her current position a couple of months before her employers expected her to (when their child starts preschool) because she had to "do what was best for her", and I was worried she would do the same to us at some point and leave us hanging. After speaking on the phone, she was scheduled to come for an in person interview. Said she drove to our neighborhood, got lost, lost cell phone service, and decided she wasn't comfortable with a job in that type of neighborhood so just left. I had described the type of neighborhood we live in on the phone so she knew what to expect. Furthermore, I'm not aware of any dead zones in our neighborhood and nobody else has ever had an issue getting to our house with GPS, so none of this quite makes sense to me. But even if I were to give her benefit of the doubt, she could at least have done us the courtesy of meeting me in person. My husband had gone out to help try and find her and I was waiting at the window for 30 minutes. At this point we really doubt she was actually in the neighborhood.
