About Mariela

I am a 24-year-old psychology & design graduate from UC Davis planning to start her master's in September 2025 in marriage & family therapy. I love exploring ways to bring out kids' creativity and let their personalities shine through activities like art projects, dance, singing, fashion shows, outdoor activities, & more! I worked as a substitute preschool teacher for 2 years and took care of 3-month-old babies to 5-year-olds. I also worked as a behavior technician for a year, where I provided ABA therapy for children ages 6-12 with autism. I have experience helping kids with writing, math, & exploring their creative side through music and the arts (painting, drawing, dancing). I value making kids feel heard and understood, being patient with their feelings, & teaching them ways to express those emotions in productive ways. Kids enjoy and trust me as their sitter while having respect for me. I have a clean driving record I can share directly and a reliable 2022 subaru crosstrek. :)
