About Maria

Hi! I'm Maria and I live in Grosse Pointe. I'm an empty nester, now that my 2 daughters are grown. As a optimist, I'm positive-thinking, patient, loving (yet firm), creative and lots of fun. I am bilingual in Spanish and have a bachelors degree from MSU, so I'd be happy to teach your little ones Spanish while caring for them. Aside from raising my kids, I'm the go-to babysitter in our very large family. I own a small marketing agency, which pretty much runs itself, so my schedule is very flexible. I'm really just looking to do something I enjoy while earning a little extra money. I love to cook, so can help with meal prep and I always tidy up when, even if it's not expected. I sing and play guitar/ukulele. I'm very active and enjoy being outdoors (hiking, swimming kayaking etc), so I can keep your children engaged with fun and age-appropriate activities. My skills include patience, creativity, excellent communication, 1st aid and CPR certification, plus lots of experience!
