About Malaika

Hi! I am a medical graduate. I have always had a passion for being a caregiver. I have provided care for children ranging from newborn months to 16 years of age. Besides occasionally babysitting back in high school, I worked in the kid's zone of the recreational center during my first year of college, supervising children between the ages of 6 months and 8 years old while their parents used the facilities. Some nights I could have as few as 3 children at a time, others 20. My skills ranged from arts and crafts, songs and story time, and a variety of games. I also worked at an all-girls camp for two summers, both years as a cabin counselor and I worked with all age groups in my program areas. During my medical clinical internships, I learned about myself as an adult and as a health provider for all age groups. I value continuous learning and experience in order to provide optimal child care.
