About Maeve

I'd describe my personality as someone who leads with compassion, shows immense empathy, and has a genuine interest in connection with others. I'm looking for a job that works with my current full time job while also providing me with the chance to work with children again. I started working with kids at age 11 and babysat and nannied throughout my teens into my twenties. I also worked with children (6 weeks-5 years) at a preschool. Most recently I worked with teens at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. I spend a large portion of my time caring for my special needs dog Heidi, who adores children! I practice yoga and love spending my days searching for unique finds at goodwill or salvage stores, in hopes of opening my own thrift store one day! My skills include extensive practice with positive reinforcement, training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and a genuine passion for seeing emotional, social and intellectual growth within children.
