I am pleased to recommend Lisa C as a baby sitter and/or nanny. We both lived in the same community and met through our love of gardening in the community garden. She met my children who liked her straight away. I then had her care for my 2 1/2 year old son on Wednesdays and as needed. She was a nanny to another child five days a week and at the same time another child one to two days a week from within the community. She is not shy to sit at the children's level and engage in playtime, turning everything practically into fun. In the garden she would have them find materials in nature to build something unique. When it's time for lunch, weather permitting, she would set up a picnic near the garden. She had a knack for having all three toddlers focused, the children socializing politely and then easily changes fun time into quiet time for naps with a sweet nap time story. She encourages creativity, teaches early childhood education, as well as fine and gross motor skills. It's no surprise for her talent with children. She home-schooled her own two sons, who have exceeded expectations in college. When we needed her to babysit after hours while my husband and I attended various business functions, she arrived on time, cheerful and ready to engage the children with creative activities. She is kind, patient and a great listener. Both my children looked forward to spending time with her. She always followed directions in regards to the children's schedule with finesse and patience better than my own. In turn the children respected her authority. We feel fortunate to have had Lisa in our life while living in Georgia. Her approach to caring for my son and other children complemented our parenting well. She has become a great family friend.
