About Lauren

I have been caring for children since I was 14 years old in a variety of different environments and roles including as an apprentice counselor at summer camp, an Awana youth group leader, a YMCA swim instructor, and a Big Sister with Big Brothers, Big Sisters. I have a strong passion for nurturing young minds while providing a safe environment for them to explore and grow. I possess a bachelors degree in Biochemistry and Neuroscience and have a partially completed masters in Integrated Biomedical Sciences. Education has always been important to me and I enjoy fostering a love of learning in the children I care for by showing them different avenues to do so and by letting their natural curiosity guide them in their learning. It is equally important to me to build a relationship with the parents/guardians so that they always feel supported and comfortable entrusting me with their children.
