About Katie

I adore children of every age and have experience working with newborns through 12 years, including children with cognitive disabilities (ADHD and autism). I have 7 years of experience as a nanny/babysitter, having started as a mother's helper at 13 years old. I have worked as a preschool teacher, and a daycare provider, and have my degree in early childhood development. I believe in children's intelligence and love to encourage independent behaviors such as preparing snacks on their own and cleaning up messes after exploring an interesting new material. I love to sing, spend time outdoors, and draw/paint. I am comfortable with pets of all sorts and am willing to look after them as well! I have a baby boy and I am happy to watch your child in my home along with him or we can come to you. I am looking to take on another young baby so they will have similar needs and interests but am also open to toddlers/school age if they are a good fit with my son.
