About Kate

Hi! I am very reliable, kind, and a creative person! I have around seven years of experience caring for children from infant to younger teens. My passion and love for working with children has always been prominent, but has developed greatly over the past few years. I work at a kayaking tour agency located in Portsmouth NH that also offers adventure camps for children. I am a tour guide where everyday I meet new families that sometimes have younger children that have never been near water before. I must provide safety, and maintain trust for them to feel comfortable in the environment, and have a fun time. In the children paddle camps I am in responsible for over 10+ children. I must always be on high alert, make sure everyone's having fun, and of course keep everyone safe. Because of this job I have learned to multitask, develop helpful skills for working with children, and create an atmosphere where learning is fun and engaging. I love working with newborns!
