In the 20 years I've known Kari, I've seen many children blossom under her guidance. Kari has a rare ability to relate to little ones on a soul level, and there is a certain way they light up when they look at her. Kari meets each child with full presence and respect for who they are so they feel seen and safe to explore the world with their own compass. There was one shy, self-conscious little girl in Kari's dance class who, by the end of the year, performed a duet in Knoxville's Market Square. In her recent work, Kari's ability to navigate the high-level sensitivity of autistic children helped her to soothe volatile emotions and make developmental progress in ways that don't respond to textbook approaches. Kari protects that precious part of a child that is connected to authenticity that we as adults often struggle to get back. Her dedication earns her the respect of parents, and she is a joy to be around. There is honestly no one I would trust more as a guide for my child than Kari.
