About Karen

I am a mature and conscientious caregiver with experience working with infants and children. I enjoy partnering with parents to provide consistent and nurturing care. I am happy to help with errands, carpooling, or light housework. I will consider weekend babysitting when needed I started working with kids in 1995 in a very active babysitting co-op. In 2001, I began doing in-home childcare. In 2004, I switched to working at a preschool as a TA in the 4-year-old class, a co-teacher to 18-24-month-old, and a music teacher for ages 2-5. I have also been a substitute teacher for infants- age 5 at Primrose schools and Village Learning Center. In my spare time, I am a yoga instructor with a non-profit org, sharing yoga with those in addiction recovery and with seniors. I find my yoga/meditation training very useful in guiding children towards empathetic awareness. My skills with children include emotion regulation, redirection, positive reinforcement, and humor.
