About Karelyn
Experience: 9 yrs
I have 15 years of experience in child care, longer if you include growing up in a family of 6. I am CPR certified and first aid trained. I do have my CNA and I'm enrolling in early childhood development classes at NRCC. I ran a home daycare in Hawaii for 5 years. I have 3 beautiful children of my own, we have furry and feathered friends (goats, chickens, dogs, and cats) all over the place to allow kids to be interactive with the natural world around them. We love to garden and get our hands dirty, lets be honest, we all know you can never have enough mud pie! I am in the process of getting everything in order to open a Forest/Nature school here in Giles, if there is a high enough interest, so feel free to ask questions or offer suggestions! I offer a curriculum that complies with state standards. It includes arts and crafts, English to Spanish, sign language, and so much more. My hours are fairly flexible Monday-Friday. Karelyn has been with my son since he was 3 months old. He's almost two now. She is caring, kind, and creates a fun filled environment for the children. She is so patient and takes on a different approach with discipline with teaching them right and wrong. She is a hard worker and flexible with schedules. My son always had a blast as she plans out activities each day. We are really sad to see her move away. This woman is truly one of a kind and we were so blessed to have found her!
