About Kaitlyn

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn, but my friends call me Kate. I am a senior at Portland State University finishing up my bachelor's in criminology and criminal justice. I have 10 years of experience in childcare as a nanny, babysitter, and camp director. I find so much joy teaching and learning from kids as they see the world in a way we can only dream of as adults. Safety is of the utmost importance to me, but I also strive to create a fun environment for kids to grow and learn in their own ways. I have experience with home-schooling, healthy meal prep, doing arts and crafts, outdoor games and activities, overnights, and housekeeping. Throughout my studies I have also taken several courses on childhood development and behavior which have helped me understand and assess negative behaviors and forge more positive ones.
