About Kaia

Hi! My name is Kaia, I grew up on a sheep farm! I am a student at UVM and pole vault for the UVM track and field team. My major is American History, with Emergency Medicine and Animal Science minors. I babysat for a young boy with autism for years and have had several other babysitting jobs with children of many different ages. Most recently I worked as a summer camp counselor this past summer in charge of a group of 24 girls ages 10 to 14. That was an awesome and rewarding experience for me. I was given the responsibility of monitoring and caring for a child who experienced frequent seizures. What sets me apart as a babysitter is my experience working with many different kids, of varying ages, and really being able to get to know them as individuals, paying attention to their specific needs and interests. I have a lot of patience and am always up for any games or activities the kids might want to do. I am especially good at braiding hair, which was a frequent request!
