About Joshua

I'd describe my personality as fun, caring, and adventurous. I like working with kids because I'm an older brother. I spent my childhood as a role model to siblings, and that has just carried on since then. I've worked in camps and after-school programs, as an 8th grade teacher, as an outdoor educator, and most recently in wilderness therapy. I'm looking for a family that shares my vision of getting their kids outside more. I started working with kids when I was a kid myself! As a 5th grader I was a reading buddy, in middle school I was working with elementary kids who didn't have fathers in their lives, in high school mentoring middle schoolers; the list goes on. In my spare time, I'm outside hiking, boating, biking and climbing. I'm also an avid dancer and yogi. I cook often and spend time reading. One thing you should know about me is I hope to encourage your children to spend more time under the sun. My skills include tutoring, life skills (cooking), and emotional support.
