About Jennifer

I have 5 years of experience working with infants up to 12 years of age in a daycare and Montessori school setting. I have 5 years of experience in housekeeping working for Boeing as a facility technician and for Merry Maids as a housekeeper. I'm experienced and trained in both of these fields and I am currently seeking my first aid and CPR training. I am current on my Food Handlers Permit. I'm attentive, caring, loving and I have a great sense of humor when it comes to putting a smile on a child's face or anticipating the needs of a customer. As a child caretaker I have established and enforced rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order. I organized activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts, and crafts: music, storytelling and field trips. I inquired and taught basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene and social skills. I've observed and evaluated children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. I attended to proper sanitizing of toys, nap time mats, etc. while meeting the basic needs of feeding, dressing and changing diapers, while maintaining a safe play environment. It's important to communicate with the children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues, and identifying signs of emotional or social developmental problems as well as supporting children's emotional and social development, encouraging and understanding of others and positive self-concepts. I have learned to prioritize and maintain job tasks efficiently while using time management practices.
