Our daughter lovingly calls Georgina "Gigi." Gigi became part of our family when she started caring for our daughter 2 years ago (age 13 months - 3 years; Mon-Fri). When we set out to hire someone to care for our daughter, we developed a list of attributes we considered vital for the caregiver to possess. We were looking for someone who was trustworthy, reliable, flexible, affable, knowledgeable about toddler behavior and needs, someone who could teach appropriate boundaries and safety rules, a good communicator, someone with a good sense of humor, someone whom we felt good being around. Gigi has all these traits and many more outstanding qualities. As our daughter is about to start school, we're transitioning into a new phase. As exciting as this new phase is, we're also a bit sad to not have our Gigi with us quite as much. But we know we'll stay connected and we will continue hiring Gigi for many years to come for date nights and those times we need extra support.
