About Faith

I am a college sophomore majoring in Early Childhood Education. I am excited to find a summer nanny position(FT/PT). I can't think of any other way that I'd like to spend my summer than having fun with your kiddos! I began babysitting during middle school and have continued since. During high school I accumulated over 180 hours tutoring at the Elementary level. I was also a part of the High Step program, which mentored 4th grade students all 4 years. My senior year, I was chosen as the Public Relations Officer for High Step and organized groups of mentors. I took and completed the Childcare and Advanced Childcare courses, ultimately passing the certification test for Pre-Professional Early Childhood Education. Two summers ago as a member of my youth group, I was part of a mission trip to Jamaica where I was chosen by my pastor to visit the community school and teach a lesson. My passion for kids can't be described and I am excited to spend my summer and life working with them! :)

My job post and my first paragraph I wrote to her stated I needed someone on Tuesday. She knew this from the start. At the end of the day, after I had talked to my kids about her and they chose her to babysit, she tells me she will be at the lake that day and to contact her later when I know my new job schedule. She did respond to my messages so I gave her a 2 but I had to tell my children that she wasn't going to be their babysitter. It is already traumatic for them to have a stranger in the house but then to tell them the one they picked can't come, that's pretty bad for a person who "love kids". She should have told me right away. Honestly, I think she decided not to babysit for us since she asked for my social media page to see my profile. Either she didn't like how I am or what I posted or she is looking for a specific type of family. So I think she didn't see us as a match but she should have told me right away. Just wait before telling your kids about her-my advise.
