About Emma

Hello! My preferred name is oliver and I'm 21 years old and have been working with kids between the ages of 2-15 for a little over 6 years. I started the way many people in childcare have, babysitting family and friends younger kiddos. That early experience babysitting is what helped me realize how important child care is. I spent a summer as a camp counselor where I got the opportunity to spend 6 days at a time leading and teaching campers ages 8-15. I have also worked in a few different educational settings. I value education and learning through play. I am well versed in social-emotional learning and development. I have my CPR and first aid certifications. I currently am working part time at the mason city YMCA after school program. My current working hours are 2 p.m. through 6 p.m. I'm my free time I enjoy reading, writing and going on hikes. During the warmer months I also enjoy swimming and camping!
