I have twin sons and as any mother out there, I want the BEST of everything for them. It was the summer before they started first grade (and they are entering 3rd grade in less than a week) and I decided to visit a Christian school in north Bentonville as I had not decided on a school for their first grade year. My twins and I went on a tour and it was fine, BUT not in my wildest dreams did I think I would get to meet the brand new first grade teacher. Up until that point, I was on the fence, but as soon as I met Miss P., my troubles were over. I sat and visited with her as if I had known her all my life. She was happy, kind, polite, and an overall joy to be around. I found myself smiling a lot while visiting with her. Needless to say, our experience during our stay at that school was the best ever and I know for certain, we won't ever come close to matching Miss P. At the end of the first grade year, I BEGGED her to move up to 2nd grade!!!!! But what fills my heart with overwhelming happiness is seeing how my twins react to her and around her. They are very cautious with outsiders, but whenever they are around Emily, they can't hug and love her enough. As a mother, if you see that sort of connection, that's priceless. We love her so much and we consider her a lifelong friend. As I mentioned earlier, my twins are entering 3rd grade next week, but we have managed to stay in touch over the past year or so and Emily tutored my sons in math and English during the month of July. They would run to meet her in the parking lot of the library, and give her more hugs than I could count and lots of I love you Miss P. My twins couldn't wait to see her every Tuesday and Thursday during July...even if it was for "school"!!! If you need more information from me, please don't hesitate to call me. Believe me, by having Emily in your life, it will be the biggest blessing to you and your family. She's a very special young lady and we are so very glad we have her part of our lives.
