About Emilie

Hello! My Name is Emilie! I've worked with kids for the better part of 7 years. I nannied for an awesome family in Portland OR for 5 years. I have loved every fort we've made, every game we played, and every moment I've had with those kids! Connecting with the kids is very important to me. Respecting them makes it a whole lot easier to receive respect in return. Communication is key. Patience is a big must. But more than anything I strive to be an example to the kids I nanny for. I want to be a positive influence in their lives as they grow. I want them to have fun! I want them to be happy and I want them to know that they can do anything they put their minds to! Aside from nannying, I spent the summer in the islands of Vanuatu where I oversaw a group of English teachers. Our mission was teaching English to kids in a classroom setting in order to open up more life opportunities for them. I did the same program in the Dominican Republic and in Lithuania for an accumulation of 10 months.
