Hello! I am currently retired from a very rewarding career in Public Safety that spanned over 28 years, and now, having been fortunate enough to have done so at such a young age. I have been pursuing my dream of working with children. My husband and I are the proud parents of one son who is an accomplished graduate of a very prestigious university and is now very active in the corporate world. In addition to being a mom myself, I enjoy interacting with children whether it be enjoying the outdoors, to include local playgrounds and parks, reading to them, doing arts and crafts, playing a game, mastering puzzles, or whatever the children enjoy. I have experience in providing care for children ranging from infants to preteens. I was told that I have a wonderful sense of humor, essential for the challenges of life. I'm an honest, friendly, responsible, caring and kindhearted individual who is extremely reliable. During my lengthy career in Public Safety, staff were required to have yearly certifications in both CPR and First Aid.

Donna has been watching our daughter since she was about 17 months old (she just turned 7 last week). We have 2 older children (now 14 and 11) that she has watched on occasion as well. She is like part of the family. She even has dog-sat for us on a number of occasions. She is very responsible, always on time, and often available even last minute. One day, I had to bring my son to a doctor's appointment and instead of dismissing K from school early and taking her with us, I just called Donna to see if she would be able and willing to get her off the bus-"Absolutely," she said. There was even a time when we had car trouble and called Donna to see if she would take the trip to our house (a few towns over) and take our puppy out; she gladly rescued "Nestle" to bring her out and feed her and play with her, knowing we would be a while. Now that our youngest is in school full-time and with my new work schedule, we only need Donna occasionally to sit for us and those times are much looked forward to by K!
