About Dena

I'd describe my personality as quiet, honest, and a good natured attitude. These help me immensely in my work. I don't upset easily, and can calm down most situations just by listening to an upset child, validating their feelings, & then helping them use their coping skills to calm down and make the right decisions. I started working with kids when I was just a kid myself. I was 13 when I got paid to help in my churches nursery, then VBS, then on the church staff at 17. This opened my eyes to my love for children, & began a decades long life of nannying across the US. I have quite a bit of experience with special needs children. I've worked with newborns to high school seniors, and young adults. I have experience with quite a bit of medical equipment. I'm looking for a full time position. I have done both live in & live out, so whichever fits your needs. I have over 20 years experience as a professional & travel nanny ,& look forward to seeing if I can help your family!
