Hi - My name is Daiquana, I'm 32 years old and I'm currently a sophomore at southern New Hampshire University online . I've been working with kids since I was 15 and love it. I started by watching my younger brother and sister, and then began babysitting for kids in our neighborhood. Now I'm a mother to a 5-year-old boy who is my world. I worked in a daycare for 5 years as a part-time preschool teacher, toddler teacher and an infant teacher. I have my CDA in both preschool and toddlers. I have been a nanny for almost 7 years. Over the last few months before Covid, I've worked primarily with infants and toddlers, but I love kids of all ages. If it's nice out, I like to take the kids outside, but if not, I whip out my creative skills :). I love doing arts and crafts! In my free time, I love walking, reading and cooking. Most of all I love being a mother!

I had a great first call with Daiquana- she is so friendly, bubbly, seemed to have incredible experience and wonderful answers to all of the questions. Our phone interview lasted quite some time, after which she agreed to an in person interview this past weekend- she even sent me references. The morning of the interview, I texted her to confirm and heard nothing back. She did not show up for the interview, or return my text. I was extremely disappointed after such a great first call for there to be a no show, as my kids were all really excited to meet her. I can't think of any reason why she wouldn't just let me know if she had gone ahead with another family or job, and was extremely hurt.
