I am an experienced infant/toddler and older nanny and toddler/preschool teacher. I am looking for a position with a family that is taking this pandemic seriously, which I am at home. I am currently employed in Walnut Creek Monday- Thursdays-looking for a 10-15 hour a week need. I am a confident nanny with an understanding of family management mixed with connecting to children and listening to them as individuals and having fun:) Pre-pandemic, I was a toddler teacher for six 18 Mo-2-year-olds in a classroom at a preschool in San Diego . I have past experience with all ages, starting at newborn-12 years old. I am educated in child development and I hold a Child Development head teacher permit and a CPR certificate. I am very reliable, and I believe that children learn through play and interaction. I am a mother of four and I am comfortable around pets. I am nurturing by nature. I plan on continuing to make a difference in children's lives while supporting their families needs.

We absolutely loved our time with Cara. She was the nanny for our son from 7 months to 2 years old (when he joined a preschool nearby). She was so caring with him and thoughtful about his needs. She had much more experience with young children that we eagerly learned from (but she never made us feel like we didn’t know what we were doing). We completely trusted her to drive him places (parks, library) and she was always very communicative with us. We were interested in trying out baby sign language and she took on the challenge with great enthusiasm, with amazing results for our kiddo. She very much feels like a part of our family now. We still have her babysit very regularly for our son - he looks forward to seeing her every time, and so do we!
