I am very disappointed by Aniyia. Before I hired her, I let her know we were looking for someone to do light housekeeping (tidying up & laundry), which was reflected in my job post. She said she was good with that. I was hoping she'd be our long-term nanny. There were early indications in the beginning that she wasn't reliable (or warm, or tidy), but I thought she was good w/ my daughter, and she assured me she wanted the job, so I brushed my concerns aside. At the end of the week this week, she texted me out of the blue to say she was quitting and yesterday was her last day. She blamed the household chores & her having to remind me for her pay. (I've paid her promptly (i.e. within minutes of her leaving) via a payment app at the end of each week, & even paid her for hours I let her come late or leave early. I bought her lunch several days.) It's clear those are just excuses. I'm so disappointed and extremely inconvenienced, as I have a demanding job and can't find immediate childcare.
