About Amaya

I am in my second year at IU studying elementary education so I really enjoy being around kids and helping them out with whatever they need! I have a semester of experience working with children in a school setting where I played educational games with groups of 1st and 2nd graders to help them learn and have fun while doing it. I worked on reading skills with kids, and I assisted a teacher in a 3rd grade classroom on helping students learn. I also have a summer of experience where I babysat a 4-year-old every so often and sometimes was asked to also babysit their other child who was 2 years old. For the last 5 months, I worked for Monroe County Community School Corporation as a before and after school supervisor. During this job I would play indoor or outdoor games with a large group of students as they were brought into school and picked up from school.
