I cannot speak highly enough of Amanda! It was clear to me that she is an experienced and knowledgeable caregiver based on my observation of her with my kiddos before I left my house. (I did not leave until about an hour after she arrived so I had a good opportunity to observe). She used appropriate and positive communication when talking to my kiddos which is HUGE to me. I have had childcare providers and even teachers talk in condesending and negative manners to my kids in the past so i really appreciate the way she spoke to them and her use of redirection and praise to guide their behavior. I also really appreciated the fact that she was present with them and that she played with them. My 3 year old by the time I was walking out the door had already made himself cozy in her lap. She provided updates through the evening and feedback when I arrived. When I asked my older boys (ages 8 and 11) about how the night went they said everything was great! My 8 year old even asked "When is she going to babysit again?" They loved her! I have a hard time trusting people- especially with my kiddos! But I felt very comfortable with her and do believe she is trustworthy. I would very highly recommend her. And Def will go through her for future childcare/babysitting jobs.
